Deleting
Old Leagues
To ensure continual operation of your TechnoHunt leagues,
please remember to follow these guidelines when deleting your finished leagues.
Failure to do so may result in some league errors. It has been found that if the
leagues are not fully deleted, some scenes off the prior league may come up on
your new league, and some weeks may end instantly without a scene ever being
presented.
- Under
League Standings, delete the old league.
- Exit
out of TechnoHunt until you reach the Main
Windows Desktop
- Right-Click
on My Computer, then click on Explore
- On
the left side of the screen, Click on the + to
the left of ‘C:’
- Click
on the '+' next to ‘AIS’
- Click
on the '+' next to ‘TechnoHunt’
- Click
on the '+' next to ‘Data’
- Click
on the folder named ‘ts’
- On
the right side of the screen, you will see a list of file names, all
starting with numbers.
- Example:
005Northeastern.ts
- These
are normal situation files. DO NOT DELETE THESE FILES!!
- You
should also notice file names that include LS!@
- Example:
005LS!@Winter League~ 1 Week.ts
- These
are League Situation files.
- These
2nd sets of files (League Situation Files) are created when you make a
league. They are not, however, deleted when you delete a league. These must
be deleted manually.
- Locate
ALL FILES that include the name of the league you just deleted.
- The
league name in this example was Winter League
- 005LS!@Winter
League~ 1 Week.ts
- There
should be at least 1 file per week of your league, and there may be up to
5 files per week.
- Delete
all files that include the name of your league.
- BE
CAREFUL NOT TO DELETE ANY OTHER FILES!!
- To
delete a file, simply click on it once, hit the DELETE
key on your keyboard, then click on YES to
confirm the delete.
- Once
all files are deleted, exit out of Windows Explorer. If desired, you may now
create a new league with the same name as your previous league.
